Cookies & storage

Nettaker is built privacy-first — for our apps and for this website. This page explains, plainly, the small amount of information the site keeps on your device, and the many things it deliberately does not do.

The short version

What this site stores

We use the browser's local storage (not tracking cookies) for two strictly-necessary, functional purposes. These values stay on your device and are never transmitted to a server.

NamePurposeTypeLasts
nt-themeRemembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance.Essential / functionalUntil you clear it
nt-cookie-ackRemembers that you've seen this notice, so it isn't shown again.Essential / functionalUntil you clear it

That's the entire list. The site sets no HTTP cookies at all, and loads no third-party tags.

Why we don't ask for consent to track you

Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, consent is required for non-essential storage — the kind used for analytics or advertising. We don't do any of that, so there's nothing to consent to. The two items above are strictly necessary to provide a feature you asked for (your appearance choice) and to remember this very notice, which is exempt from consent. We still show you a notice, because being transparent is the point.

Your control

You're always in charge of this data:

The apps

This page covers the website. Our apps are even more private — they have no servers and make no network requests for your data. Each has its own privacy policy: Nettaker and Capital. See also our accessibility commitment.
